Tips for putting in Opticrom Eye Drops:

  1. Wash your hands.
  2. Relax and tilt your head backwards. You can be sitting, standing, or lying down.
  3. Place your index finger on the soft spot just below the lower lid.
  4. Gently pull down the skin to form a ‘pocket’.
  5. Using your other hand, hold the dropper tip down, as close as possible to your eye without touching it.
  6. Whilst looking up, gently squeeze the dropper so that one or two drops fall into the pocket.
  7. Some people find it easier to do this using a mirror – some people find that a mirror doesn't help at all.
  8. Slowly let go of the lower lid.
  9. Close your eyes but try not to shut them tight or squeeze your eyelids. This may push the drops out of your eye.
  10. Wipe any excess liquid from your face.
  11. Replace and tighten the cap.
  12. Repeat with other eye.
